Match the message to your relationship
For a new relationship, ‘Glad it’s you’ can feel warm without making a grand promise. For a long-standing partner, ‘My favourite tea date’ may say more than an elaborate declaration. A friend can have a cheerful ‘Best brew buddy’ instead. Think about where the mug will be used: something sweet at home might feel awkward on an office desk, so choose the tone with the recipient in mind.
Pick a memory before choosing the hearts
A relaxed photograph from a walk, a weekend away or a first date can be a strong starting point. For two people, choose an image with both faces clear and close enough to crop comfortably. If a cartoon makes you both laugh, try a 3D toon or bobblehead portrait. If your partner prefers the photograph, choose original photo and let a heart pattern or a warm colour bring the Valentine’s theme.
Make a pair personal to each of you
Matching mugs need not be identical. You might share one couple portrait and choose separate colours or first names, so each person has their own cup. A small caption such as ‘You, me, kettle on’ can tie the two designs together. PickleDodo mugs are white 11oz ceramic, printed in-house by Sandycroft Workwear Ltd, and cost £15 each including VAT. Free UK delivery is in 1–2 working days; check both designs carefully before you order for the day.
