Check the agreed budget before choosing the gift
Our mugs cost £15 including VAT and free UK delivery. That fits a £15 or £20 limit; it does not fit a £10 exchange. Check the organiser’s rules and the date presents will be exchanged. If your team wants separate gifts, create each design and add it to the same basket: buy three mugs and the fourth is free, making four £45. Do not assume a group discount changes an individual spending rule.
Choose office-safe humour that belongs to them
Try “Chief biscuit inspector”, “On the nice-ish list” or their well-loved nickname. Avoid private information, comments about appearance and jokes that could embarrass them when the gift is opened in front of colleagues. If you do not know them well, a cheerful name and snowflake pattern can feel thoughtful without needing a punchline.
Use a photo you have permission to print
Ask a mutual friend for a suitable portrait or use a photograph the recipient is comfortable sharing. Crop to one clear face. Santa and elf cartoons work best when eyes and facial features are easy to see. You can compare four selected portrait styles in the studio, then choose the one that feels most like them.
Wrap up the surprise after checking the preview
Choose candy canes, trees or gingerbread for the wrap. Optional text should be short and readable on both sides. Check the original photo or generated portrait, names and full wrap before approving. Product mockups are illustrative; your approved artwork is the design sent for printing. Free UK delivery is 1–2 working days, so allow time before your exchange.
